Highlighting one of the new products, as well as the new finishes, ROHL would be premiering at KBIS, & inviting the media to schedule an appointment to learn more about the new offerings. In addition to the eblast design overall, I also created a custom composite graphic for the New Finishes section.

An example of a more typical Fairway digital promotion.  Large photography, plenty of blue, & color overlays with geometric patterns are elemental to the newly revamped Fairway look.

Simple social graphic to promote client Fairway Architectural Railing Solutions as an exhibitor at the 2017 Deck Expo Show held at the Music City Center in Nashville. The graphic is a departure from Fairway's typical photography-based promotions as all new product photography was being held off until a big reveal at another trade show a couple months later. This rare graphical promotion emphasizes Fairway's presence in Nashville, the graphic doubling as Fairway's railing product & the strings of a guitar. The energetic typography seals the deal.

Graphic created on behalf of client Emerald Expositions for panelists of the New Modern Luxury panel to share across their platforms to promote the panel prior to KBIS 2019. Includes headshots of all panelists up top, with event details in the bottom half over a chic tile pattern. A dash of KBIS purple connects the two sections. This panel did not have any specific brand identity, so I selected a modern, chic serif font for the panel name to further push the topic of the panel & to give a nod to the high design sensibilities of the panelists themselves.

Social graphic created to promote digital Valentine’s Day contest for client LuxeHome. Technically a series in that several graphics were made using different images, the design remained the same. Floral-inspired images from LuxeHome’s tenants at the Merchandise Mart Chicago were used throughout the series. A custom, Valentines-inspired color scheme was created, using a rosy burgundy, pink, & a new spin on LuxeHome’s blue & gray.

Social graphic concept created for the Designhounds Milan 2016 tour to highlight participating designers & to encourage viewers to follow their coverage on the #designhounds hashtag.

Program front for the House of Rohl Studio Grand Opening, an event built around the concept of the House of Rohl ethos of “The Story Craft Tells”.

Back of the program features the House of Rohl insignia in “stamp” form—a subtle allusion to a passport—as well as the lock-up of logos for all the child brands and the website URL.

The program opens with the mission statement from the newly founded House of Rohl and the run of show for the evening.

Each of the child brands is profiled in the Studio Grand Opening program.

The House of Rohl event for Design Chicago expanded upon the theme of “The Story Craft Tells” from the Studio Grand Opening, and brought together several industry thought leaders to discuss the topic.

The invitation front features a softtouch coating, while the visual design harkens to the hand’s touch of craft and design across the House of Rohl’s five brands, featuring photography from the factories of each of the brands. Also features the House of Rohl double R insignia in the bottom right corner.

The backside of this postcard-style invitation features all the information one would need for this event, including the industry speakers, a link to registration, and information about the larger show the event is a part of, Design Chicago.

Recipient’s address would be printed in the righthand side.

At Your Expense is an improvised game show hosted by Lancaster-based improv group Lancaster Improv Players that pits eight improvists against each other in a battle of wits.

At Your Expense takes LIP’s tried & true blue & red color scheme & expands upon it, adding teal, orange, & tan for a fun, retro look. The logo takes influence from classic game shows of the mid-century (the audience is even prompted to shout, “At! Your! Expense!”), using a variety of stylized typefaces & all unified through the use of the classic comedy light sign. The logo & background pattern features retro-inspired geometric forms, which are also a nod to the LIP theater’s accent wall, designed by fellow Lancaster-based ATOMIC.

Good X Home is the intersection of sustainability, wellness and design. A community-powered platform that explores people, products and projects that contribute to a better living environment in the physical and emotional sense.

Good X Home is a project under the Modenus umbrella.  The logo I created is a slight variation from Modenus' usual teal & gray color scheme but stays within the general realm & keeps true to Modenus' proclivity for modern typefaces.  The iconic portion of the logo combines the X form—& furthermore, the intersection, which is enhanced by the overlapping transparencies—with a variant on traditional house iconography in the overlap, & with a little nod to the Dutch windmill, perfectly at home in the country known for its masterful modernism.

WineTalks is another Modenus project, hosting events across America for wine lovers, connoisseurs, & makers.  Think VinoCamp or BarCamp but more essentially American—conversation, sharing, & learning are crucial.  

For the logo, I brought in elements standard for the Modenus brand:  minimalist approach, modern use of typography, & overlapping elements to really push the concept of this service being a way to bring people together & start conversation & sharing.    Thus the "conversations over wine" graphic element was created.   

Parody logo done for a Lancaster Improv Players sketch. Like Tinder, ember is a dating app in the sketch, creating fast romantic connections for app users. The twist? ember caters to those 65+.

The logo itself strongly emulates that over Tinder, from the type treatment to the colors & geometries of the flame icon. The icon shape in particular was designed to showcase the fleeting, gently movement of embers off of a flame.

An app mock-up (not pictured) was also concepted & mocked-up with the sketch writer & a second web designer.

Design for Holiday 2020 was inspired by seeking serenity and peace in a year that felt otherwise. Use of minimalistic geometric, almost hypnotic forms to create a wreath, a festive color scheme built around WhiteGood’s red branding, and simple imagery evoking both the holiday season and biophilia, a big interior design trend over the past half-decade.

The main graphic of this design—the geometric tree graphic—is directly inspired by the Paddywax tree stack candle that was this year’s client gift. With the product’s minimalist Bauhaus-meets-Scandi appeal, the original accompanying illustration played with geometry and composition, as well as tying in the same festive color scheme for the year prior.

The background texture not only mimics snow falling, but also the texture of the ceramic gift itself.

An even more simplified and straightforward version of the original Holiday 2021 concept.

Logo for fictional all-natural sleep aid brand SlumberAll. Objective was to create a logo inspired by an animal of my choosing. Based on the owl, I created the idea of a product that would soothe even the nocturnal owl to sleep at night. The illustration itself illustrates the owl, but also the idea of distinctive day & night through the color splits, as well as the full moon in shape. The cool purples allude to lavender (the main ingredient in this hypothetical sleep aid), with complementary golds used for the owl’s beak, as well as the crescent moon in the logotype. The font for the logotype is soft & dreamy, with a slight angle to lull viewers to a peaceful state.

Not technically a logo, per se, but a little illustrated title for a flow chart teaching university students how to utilize the local public transit. Bus design & color scheme based on my dear local transit, Red Rose Transit Authority (Lancaster, PA), with some added illustrative quirk.

Logo created for my personal photo/history blog documenting the quaint & historic architecture around the city of Lancaster, known as the Red Rose City. The design centers around one found architectural detail, this red rose sculptural piece from a commercial gate downtown. The rusty red overlay not only refers to the city’s namesake color, but also the red brick buildings for which our city is known.
